Tearing Down the Stress

A lot of home builders send you on a bit of a goose chase trying to get certain things accomplished prior to their ability to build. Our construction process starts with site preparation. We begin with a site survey of your lot to determine the current status, what’s needed, and then prioritize and plan the next steps.
Depending on the current site or lot, what’s necessary to complete this process will vary.
During this survey, we look at a ton of different factors:
- Topography (i.e. soil type, trees, plants, pools or natural bodies of water, etc.)
- Lot corners and lines
- Existing buildings or structures
- Underground infrastructures
- Possible hazardous materials
- Nearby natural environments
- And much more!
Since not all lots are the same, each site survey will be different and the process to prep each site for building will be unique. Our team is happy to work with you to get you closer to your dream custom home build.
A Lot Goes Into Prepping a Lot
Sites may need to be leveled with a bulldozer or backhoe prior to building. Some lots have a lot of trees that make it difficult to build. At LaBram Homes we’re able to do a survey of these trees to identify if these trees are able to be removed, and we adhere to the Florida’s Federally Listed Plant Species list to ensure endangered or threatened trees aren’t taken down.
Other lots may already have a pre-existing house on it. In order to get a demolition, many factors need to be addressed and handled. Our team is educated on these processes and we’re proud to work with expert demolition partners who ensure a smooth sailing experience when tearing down homes.
